Juxtaposition

in the class, the meaning of juxtaposition are :
1. an act or instance of placing close together or side by side, esp. for comparison or contrast.
2. the state of being close together or side by side. all form lecturer :  Simply stated, juxtaposition means placing things side-by-side.

In art this usually is done with the intention of bringing out a specific quality or creating an effect, particularly when two contrasting or opposing elements are used. The viewer's attention is drawn to the similarities or differences between the elements.

for me juxtaposition was simply stated, juxtaposition means placing things side-by-side. In art this usually is done with the intention of bringing out a specific quality or creating an effect, particularly when two contrasting or opposing elements are used. The viewer's attention is drawn to the similarities or differences between the elements.there is the

Lesson 6

In the class , lecturer teach us what is Associated Mind Map

associated mind map and logical mind map is also defined as a stereotype mind map
Stereotype mind map is everything that we draft or draw into the mind map
it is directly connected to the subject we are talking on.

As for associated mind map,
it seems that two different thing that links to a subject could have no connections at all.

After that class,it brings me back to my foundation times when we took the Design Fundamental course which requires us to do mind map all the time. That time, logical mind map is strongly stressed as we have to produce something out of a subject and that means, when the viewvers see ours artwork, they have to understand what we are trying to bring out from the subject that we have choosen. But as for me,having know about associated mind map,i guess this type of mind map can make people more creative in terms of their thinking and ideation.A mind map can make the learning becomes more effective in a way that it make sure that the person will never run out from their path and will hardly make mistake in achiveing what they are looking for.
i have found a informative sites about the mind map.

Lesson 3

Method of creative thinking.
Briefing on mind maps (logical and associated mind map)
   And introduction to stereotype.
(*Do a creative digital mind map of yourself and upload it to your blog.  Give a simple explanation if you wish e.g. explain more about yourself, or your experience in doing the mind map etc.)[done in week four post]

  • about the class, i learnt how to
  • -Make better decisions through critical thinking and creative problem solving
  • -Adapt to different thinking styles in group and team environments
  • -Recognize and remove barriers to individual and group creativity to foster an innovative work environment
  • -Systematically analyze a target problem
  • -Present my ideas clearly and concisely for maximum stakeholder buy-in
  • -Transform your creativity into practical business solutions
and i knew mind map is a graphical way to represent ideas and concepts. It is a visual thinking tool that helps structuring information, helping you to better analyze, comprehend, synthesize, recall and generate new ideas.

Just as in every great idea, its power lies in its simplicity.

In a mind map, as opposed to traditional note taking or a linear text, information is structured in a way that resembles much more closely how your brain actually works. Since it is an activity that is both analytical and artistic, it engages your brain in a much, much richer way, helping in all its cognitive functions. And, best of all, it is fun!
